We started the day with the usual routine of calisthenics, morning dip, and a thrilling game of woboba. This was the first time in five days that Port watch (our watch) won the game, and we cherished our victory with a breakfast of delicious mango yogurt with granola, cereal, and an array of fruit. After breakfast, we motored to the Indians and had our first dive of the day at 10:00 a.m. We practiced with our assigned research groups, deciding for…

We woke up to a beautiful sunrise at Salt Island. During our sunrise swim, we played keep away the waboba ball in our watch groups. Starboard watch continued their winning streak. After breakfast, we got underway motoring to The Baths on Virgin Gorda. The Baths is a natural formation of impressively large boulders that make for great snorkeling as well as exploring on land. Upon arrival, we snorkeled around the boulders, looking at the different kinds of coral and fish…

After morning dip, we motored from Norman Island to Salt Island. Having anchored in the bay, Dr. Crosby went over the procedure for the assembling, deploying, and retrieving of our current meters. After some practice on deck, we set out on the water with the crew to carry out this practice procedure. Then we went for a hike on Salt Island, thrilled to go on land for the first time since we boarded the Tabor Boy on Tuesday. The climb…

Today began at 6:30 am with a beautiful sunrise. As soon as we woke, we got changed into our bathing suits, and headed up on deck. After some calisthenics the entire ships company jumped into the ocean. It was much warmer than we thought it would be; so we stayed in to play a game of keep away. Starboard Watch won! After breakfast we proceeded to motor towards Soper’s Hole, the beginning of our journey to the British Virgin…

Today, we started off on a long sail, which began our voyage on the Tabor Boy. We woke up after spending the night in Vessup Bay on St. Thomas. We started the day with morning calisthenics and a quick dip in the bay, where starboard watch won the first game of “Woboba” ball. We set all the sails, and tacked up the windward passage, and up to the Narrows. Making good time we anchored in Soper’s hole, where the vessel…

We woke early to the sound of Hayden’s voice noting that morning dip was fast approaching. Thoughts of clean sheets and showers occupied our thoughts as we jumped into the morning ocean, despite a mutual longing to stay in the Caribbean we recognized the end of our adventure and planned to take advantage of our last full day. After a final game of keep-away/ Woboba, Starboard watch came away victorious with a win, keeping their legacy as the reigning champions…
